Oregon School Assessment

How to use the dashboard

1. Choose a dataset

Select English, Math, or Science. You can also upload a compatible CSV.

2. Pick your axes

Set the X axis to a community metric such as "Median household income" or "Attendance".

Set the Y axis to a test score level from 1 (lowest) to 4 (highest). Or choose "Proficient", which includes all Level 3 and Level 4 scores.

3. Choose your filters

Use grade, student group, locale, district, school size, and attendance filters to focus the view.

4. Switch views

Chart view is best for distributions. Map view highlights spatial patterns.

Tips

  • Use the “School/student filter summary” pane to verify what’s included in the current graph or map.
  • When you share a view, use “Share link to view” so others open it with the same filter settings.
  • Interpret cautiously. This dashboard reports aggregates, not individual outcomes. Small counts may be suppressed, and correlations should not be interpreted as causation. Always consider local context when drawing conclusions.
